Since 1997, we have been delivering scalable managed logistics solutions that our customers can rely on.
Combining our customer-centric approach with proven analytics and leading technologies, we deliver and manage streamlined logistics services that work in tandem to increase efficiencies, achieve cost-savings and enable our customers to deliver on their commitments.
At CSL, we know there is no one-size-fits-all approach to large-scale logistics. As such, collaborative working is key to our approach – working with each customer, we first establish a deep-dive understanding of their unique operation.
From this insight, we then use our extensive analytical expertise to develop, deliver and manage logistics solutions that are best suited to each customer’s specific requirements.
Our services are entirely scalable, giving us the flexibility to work with a diverse and varied client base on both a contracted and ad hoc basis.
Our people are at the heart of our operation. Blending our supportive and encouraging culture with our proven history of creating and maintaining long-term relationships with customers – some spanning over a decade – our teams truly take pride in enabling our customers to deliver exceptional services.
In 1967, Denis Ponsonby launched DJ Ponsonby & Sons Ltd with a small van and an entrepreneurial spirit. Initially catering for home and commercial removals, the business branched out throughout the 1970s to become a provider of general transportation services.
In the early 1980s, two of Denis’ sons, Des and Mark, along with cousin John Mangan and family friend Brian Croghan, began to expand the business, moving into articulated haulage. Sustainable growth followed as a result of their focus on safety, high standards and leading equipment.
The business provided premium transport and storage services to a wide-variety of blue chip companies, including Cadbury’s, Mars, BP, Gillette, Vax and Allied Breweries.
The 1990s saw further expansion, with four UK operating centres and involvement in parcel and palletised distribution.
In 1997 Des, Mark, John and Brian formed Corporate Solutions Logistics to provide high quality contract logistics services with a focus on delivering excellence and continually developing operations. The Ponsonby kit was adorned with a butterfly, which is still proudly displayed on CSL’s livery as a symbol of our commitment to caring.
