Hours:                                                9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday (must be flexible)

Annual Leave:                                  5 weeks (rising to 6 weeks after 3 years’ service)

Location:                                           Immingham, North East Lincolnshire

Start date:                                         March 2018

Purpose / Objectives 

The Transport Manager would be responsible for managing a growing transport contract for a large building products company.  This will include managing a Transport Co-ordinator, vehicles and drivers.  The role requires strong attention to cost control, focus on legal compliance, accuracy of management reporting, continuous improvement and most importantly, developing a strong working relationship with the customer.

Principal accountabilities / responsibilities

  • Experienced customer / client relationships and contract development
  • Must be able to demonstrate previous experience of delivering substantial cost savings as well as delivering against challenging KPIs and SLA
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are met and enforced
  • Ensuring all relevant legislation is complied with
  • Producing daily profit reports for the Company Directors
  • Fuel management
  • Line Management of a Transport Co-ordinator
  • Supervising a large team of drivers (15+)

Essential skills

  • Transport Manager CPC qualified
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship building skills
  • Continuous Improvement in operational performance
  • Management experience
  • Experience of sub-contracting loads to other haulage companies

HGV Drivers Required

Corporate Solutions Logistics is recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers for sites at Enfield, Birmingham, Wednesbury, Lutterworth, Northfleet and Southampton.

We require day drivers, night drivers and 4 on 4 off shift workers.

Drivers must be flexible and prepared to work day or night shifts.

Drivers must have 2 years’ experience and be over 25 years of age.

Our trucks are quality marques which are all Euro 6 with in-cab technology.

Good rates of pay offered.
